I. Stud fee mentioned above is for stud service only. Three healthy puppies constitute a litter. A brucellosis test is required prior to the mating taking place with the expense to be paid by the bitch owner. A copy to be provided before any breeding takes places (except for chilled agreement). Any other expenses which might occur (examples: shipping, transportation, health certificates, kenneling in case of emergency, air fare, medical treatment of bitch, semen collection if necessary) will be paid by the bitch owner. No out of pocket expenses are to be incurred by stud owner.
a. Chilled semen agreement: Stud fee must be paid in full before semen is shipped. The bitch dog owner is responsible for testing to predict ovulation and we are not liable for incorrect testing and predictions. A minimum of 48 hour notice is required for stud owner to make a vet appointment.
II. Three healthy puppies is a litter. If the above bitch does not conceive or only has one puppy, a repeat breeding will be offered at no additional charge for the stud fee portion of possible expenses within one year of notification of failure to take. As with first breeding, expenses relating to any other cost will be paid by the bitch owner. A refund will not be offered as services were performed.
a. In the event that the bitch does not conceive, an ultra sound or physical proof from a veterinarian is required.
b. In the case that the above bitch does not take, and the bitch owner would like to replace her in the return stud service, she must be approved by stud owner and another contract will be signed.
III. The stud owner guarantees that the stud is potent and that mating was achieved on the above dates.
IV. The stud owner guarantees to sign the litter registration papers.
V. NO offspring from this mating will be sold, given or donated to pet shop, research lab/facility, grooming facility/parlor, or humane society. Any pet home sales will include a spay/neuter contract.
VI. The stud owner will provide assistance or suggestions as needed in placing the puppies.
VII. This contract is not in effect until bitch and stud owner have signed and agreed upon all arrangements and the stud fee received by the owner. Breeding must occur within a year from the date of contract. A brucellosis test (negative) signed by vet is required in advance. Do not sign unless you agree with everything. If you believe there are changes to be made, please contact us and we will change the contract until both parties agree.
